I’ve never rented a RV or motor home. Can you help me
get started?
Absolutely. Our staff of qualified technicians and customer
associates have years of RV experience. We will help you select
the right vehicle for your needs and make your rental experience
hassle-free and second to none.
What is the expected gas mileage?
Depending on the class and type of coach, the mileage will
range from 8 to 12 mpg. Also, it's important to note that
some coaches (usually the larger A classes) use diesel versus
gasoline.
Do I need to buy additional insurance and if so why?
Unless you have a corporate policy that will issue a binder
for damage protection, you will need to purchase additional
protection. Unlike a rental car, your auto coverage will not
carry over to protect you from damages should you have an
accident.
How much is the insurance?
Depending on the size and value of the coach rental, the insurance
runs between $15 to $25/day. This covers the cost of repair
due to accidents above and beyond your deposit, which serves
to meet your deductible.
Are there damages the insurance does not cover?
Yes, the insurance does not protect you against negligent
acts by you, such as the roof hitting a low overhang, or damages
to the interior, such as carpet stains etc.
Can I be picked up at the airport and if so, is there
a charge?
Yes, special arrangements can be made in advance, with an
appropriate fee determined at the time of the reservation.
It may also be possible, for a nominal fee, to have the motor
home setup at a local campsite so when you arrive you can
spend a day/night relaxing and getting familiar with the home,
before proceeding on your trip.
Do I need a special driver's license to operate the RV?
Generally no, unless you are using the motor home for commercial
purposes such for touring a group.
If I have a problem while on a trip, is road service
available, and will I have to pay for repairs?
Should you encounter a problem needing service while traveling
out of the area, there is 24 hour service available through
Coachnet, who can possibly guide you through the problem,
or find a local service center. There may however, be a charge
for frequent informational calls as compared to a service
or repair. You are not responsible for the cost of repairs
unless caused by negligence.
Can we return we return the RV on weekends, or during
non-business hour?
In most cases special arrangements can be made for a nominal
fee.
Other than the base rental fee, are there any other costs
that I need to be aware of?
Please check the rate chart for optional amenities available.
You are allowed 1000 free miles per rental; should you travels
stray beyond the free mileage period there is a mileage charge
depending on the class of coach you rent. There is also a
charge for excessive generator use beyond 4 hours/day. Most
camp grounds supply an electric hook up to minimize generator
use while camping.
